"LA CAMINATA DEL MONO" (Monkey Walk) is your gated hideaway in the perfect location just blocks from the beach - a sanctuary of peace amidst a bustling Tamarindo. The entirety of "LA CAMINATA DEL MONO" is yours - a house and three apartment units with central pool. Within walking distance to the grocery, market, medical, pharmacy, skatepark, restaurants, excursions, entertainment and more. The private, gated property boasts two buildings with a shared pool in the center. In this listing, you are renting the ENTIRE PROPERTY, which consists of: MAIN HOME - "El Castillo" - a residential home with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living area, a downstairs bathroom with shower and an upstairs master bathroom (off the master bedroom) features a shower PLUS a bath with tv view. A rare find in this area! THE CASITAS – Second building with three apartments, each with its own small kitchen area and private bathroom with shower: UPSTAIRS - "EL MONO" consisting of two bedrooms, one with queen bed and other with a Costa Rican queen bed (similar to a full bed) DOWNSTAIRS - "PEZ” consisting of one bedroom with a new king bed and the common space has a queen bed daybed. DOWNSTAIRS - "TORTUGA" consisting of one bedroom with new king bed. The common space has a queen bed daybed. "LA LILIQUIDA" - POOL AREA - An oasis pool with a southern view and overhanging palms. The pool deck includes lounging, cooking, and pool toys / towels.  Our property is perfect for travelers who value authenticity and memory-making over newness and perfection. This property may not be right for guests seeking luxury finish or hotel-level polish. The property comfortably hosts up 12 and up to 16 guests (depends on your sleeping needs). Please contact us if you have more than 16 people as we may be able to accommodate based on your needs / number of kids v. number of adults / etc. Additional fees may apply. A trellis archway stretches the entire length of the home's entrance where, in the green season, morning glories cover the drive and invite you in. You will have a private code to enter the gates and the driveway has enough parking for two full cars plus golf cart. "LA CAMINATA DEL MONO" is located in the heart of Tamarindo, which is known for its vibrancy and has a unique of mix of modern amenities, natural beauty, youthful energy, wonderful people, an inclusive community, walkability, and a pura vida vibe! There are loads of options of outdoor activities, yoga & health retreats, entertainment & nightlife! Here you'll be close to it all - but secluded enough for privacy and serenity. Playa Tamarindo beach is maybe a 5-10 minute walk from the property (depending on your mobility), and you can also walk to Playa Langosta beach in about 20 minutes. Please note that it is not beachfront property and, as such, we don't supply beach chairs. We usually keep a couple of them at the property that you are welcome to use should you want to head to the beach. There are storage areas for our staff only. If you need any assistance or have any questions, the property manager will be happy to accommodate your needs. Our local property manager tries to greet you upon arrival, if possible. We are both also available through the app to answer questions. Our groundskeeper / pool maintenance comes by periodically. The property is in a bustling beach neighborhood - on a street with primarily other hotels / guest accommodations. It is a short walking distance to the beach and the heart of town with many shops, restaurants, stores, grocery stores, pharmacy, etc. to choose from. No car needed! Walking distance to everything town center. If you like, you can rent a bike, golf cart, or ATVs just around the corner! If you do rent any of these or a car, we have a gate to the property and enough parking for one car plus either a golf cart or a motorcycles. (The parking is shared with the main house) Most of the streets are unpaved and, in the high season, it's harder to find parking around town. We suggest walking or golf cart rental in Tamarindo and a car for excursions. We are happy to welcome your pup, but please let us know beforehand and ensure they are well-behaved. We ask that you clean up after your dog and not leave them unattended and definitely do not allow them in the pool area to avoid any damage or disruption to the property. Please note that we can only accommodate dogs and no other types of pets, and we don't allow smoking on the premises. Monkeys (and sometimes Iguanas and occasionally other animals) will often enjoy the Monkey Walk leading to the property, hence the name! They are one of the many attractions of Costa Rica, and you may hear them from time to time outside of the window. As is typical in Tamarindo, there are critters and it's part of the way of life here. We don’t refund for presence of a bug or lizard, etc. unless it’s an infestation certified by a professional. Tamarindo also experiences brief power outages regularly. As vibrant as Tamarindo is, we do have quiet time between 11 am and 7 pm so neighbors can enjoy their rest. We have a pack and play / crib in storage - please request in advance so we can set it out for you at check-in time. The whole property is gated, but the pool does not have a separate gate. Please use with caution. Please be sure to read / follow the house rules regarding pool use.
